Zayn Malik Admits He Never Wanted To Be In The 1D, Returns For Reunion In 25 Years When All Are Men [VIDEO]

It has been months ever since Zayn Malik decided to leave his group One Direction. Malik has released his first solo song since spliting from the x-Factor UK winner group.

According to new reports, Malik is irked when the rest of his former One Direction bandmates say they are still in good terms. Malik has just recently released his debut single "Pillowtalk" from his newest solo album "Mind Of Mine," which reached top 1 in US Billboard chart days after its release.

The former One Direction singer also revealed that it might take 25 years before he join forces with his bandmates once again. He has recently guested on Radio 1 about the possibility of reuniting with the rest of the 1D members after the indefinite hiatus.

"I won't go back to 1D for 25 years, until there's a reunion tour when we come back to do a gig when we're all men," the singer told the station.

The band is currently on hiatus and Malik has been asked if he is in good terms with the rest of the 1D members.

"The truth is I haven’t spoken to any of the boys at all really. I spoke to Liam a bit. Publicly, when they were asked questions about it, they said that they’d spoken to me and that we were friends," the 23-year-old singer said, Mirror reported.

He said that he tried to reach out to the rest of 1D, but never got a response from them.

"I had every intention of remaining friends with everybody, but I guess certain phone numbers have changed and I haven't received calls from a lot of people. I’ve reached out to a few of them and not got a reply. Certain people have pride issues, but it’s stuff you overcome in time," he conceded, Daily Mail wrote in a post.

The "Pillowtalk" singer also explained why he has decided to leave the band while it is still successful. He admited that he never wanted to be in the band.

"I think I always kind of wanted to go. From like the first year really, I never really wanted to be there in the band," Zayn Said, Billboard reported. I just gave it a go because it was there at the time and then when I realized the direction we were going in with the music, I instantly realized it wasn’t for me because I realized I couldn’t put any input in; I couldn’t give my opinion on this or that because it didn’t fit the grain of what we were as a band or what we represented.

Daily Mail has shared an interview with Zayn Malik where he admits that he has always been wanting to leave 1D.

One Direction members aside from Zayn Malik have promised that they will be coming back as the hiatus will not be permanent. Stay tuned as more updates become available.
