The GeForce GTX 980 Ti release date happened last year in June and soon turned out to be one of the most popular and highly sought-after GPUs offered by NVidia.

Reviews from critics representing different tech portals have so far been rather positive.

For example, the good folks at Hardocp wrote that the specification of the GTX 980 Ti is closer to the Titan X than the GTX 980.

It comes equipped with 2816 CURA Cores whereas Titan X brings you 3072 and the GTX 980 only 2048.

Meanwhile, the product also has the same 96 ROP units as the Titan X specs. Memory speed and clock speed of both cards are also exactly the same.

The chip has 176 of texture mapping units as compared to the Titan X's 192. In terms of GPU power, the GM200-310 in the 980 Ti is less powerful than the GM200-400 GPU.

The GTX 980 Ti specs will carry along 6GB of VRAM along with 384-bit GDDR5 memory interface, as well as a TDP of approximately 250W.

EVGA assessed the base GPU clock at roughly 1102 MHz, whereas the Boost clock is somewhere around 1190 MHz as compared to the reference 1074 MHz. At 7GHz, the memory is set by default.

The GTX 980 Ti is "superb as it has awesome cooling, it's silent, it's factory overclocked (and not a little) and combined with the default variables like the 6 GB graphics memory this product oozes performance and awesomeness," according to this Tweaktown review

Overall, judging by all the positive feedback of the specs the product has pulled off thus far, it won't perhaps be an exaggeration to call the Nvidia GTX 980 Ti a terrific card for a wide range of gaming set up that includes both single monitor gaming and multi-monitor gaming.
