South Korean Actress Jun Ji Hyun Gives Birth To A Baby Boy
South Korean actress Jun Ji Hyun has officially become a mother after giving birth to her first child on Thursday morning. A bouncing baby boy was born for the "My Sassy Girl" actress and her husband, Choi Jun Hyuk.
Jun's entertainment agency, Culture Depot, confirmed the news and said the actress and her baby are both in good conditions, courtesy of Korea Joongang Daily.
"We are glad to announce the good news from Jun," the entertainment agency said. "Please congratulate her with your warm hearts and look forward to Jun's next work."
According to reports, Jun is still admitted in a first-rate confinement center in Seoul to fully recover from the delivery. Asia One reported that the said confinement center charges $50,000 per month.
It reportedly offers deluxe facilities and has professional staffers working for the confinement center. In addition to this, the center, which is located near her residence, reportedly gives importance to the privacy of its clients, which is probably the reason why Jun preferred to be admitted on the said facility.
Jun has been married to her banker husband since 2012. She revealed about her pregnancy in July last year during the launching of her movie "Assassination." A representative of Culture Depot revealed Jun initially concealed her pregnancy to avoid disrupting the filming of the action flick.
Jun started out as a commercial model and as an actress in 1997. Her career took off when she appeared in a commercial for Samsung My Jet Printer in 1999. Jun is well-known for her movies "My Sassy Girl," "Il Mare," "Windstruck," "The Thieves" and "The Berlin File."
Aside from that, she has also appeared in a number of television series such including award-winning "My Love From The Stars." Jun won the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the SBS Drama Awards for the television series.
Jun also received the Best Actress award for her role in "Assassination" at the 52nd Grand Bell Awards and Maxmovie 2016 Movie Award.
