NBA Trade Rumors: Toronto Raptos Eyeing On Kenneth Faried And Markieff Morris
There are NBA trade rumors suggesting Toronto Raptors is being eyed by richer teams wanting to improve their rosters.
Turned out, even the Canadian franchise is looking forward to raiding other clubs, too, with their target set on agile forwards. Among them are Kenneth Faried, Thadeus Young and Markieff Morris.
"I think they're gonna go for it," ESPN's Brian Windhorst said during an appearance in radio show in TSN. "I think from what I understand, from what I'm hearing, they're pretty aggressive in the trade market,"
"They're looking for power forwards. I've heard them attached to Thaddeus Young. I've heard them attached to (Nuggets forward) Kenneth Faried. I've heard them attached to (Suns forward) Markieff Morris. They have extra draft picks."
Toronto Raptors is already solid in the backcourt with All-Stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan holding down the fort.
However, it is a different story in the front court with only DeMarre Carroll in double-digit production in terms of points, which most likely caused the recent NBA trade rumors involving Faried, Young and Morris.
Among the three names mentioned, it is Nuggets' Faried who might fit the role. He is an energy that fills up the stats. He can also work on both ends of the floor.
Thadeus Young, on the other hand, will make a good backup but the team already has Luis Scola and James Johnson.
Meanwhile, Markieff Morris, who got involved in many NBA trade rumors but might have lost the interest of teams because of what he just did, is also a good addition to his toughness and outside shooting which will make Lowry and Derozan's job easier.
Toronto Raptors is second in the Eastern Conference with a 35-17 record and they could be just preparing for the tough second half of the season.
Just last month, their star player DeRozan was involved in an NBA trade rumor. It was reported that Los Angeles Lakers want to make him its star player but the Compton-native shooting guard insisted he is happy with Toronto.
"I think I'm just excited for being in Toronto and people really getting a chance to see what Toronto is like," DeRozan told Toronto Sun.
