Beyoncé Delivers Amazing Show At Super Bowl 50; Queen Bey Bonds With Jay Z During Warriors Game
Beyoncé's Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday was simply incredible. It was a perfect blend of costumes, choreography, lyrics and backup dancers. But ahead of that performance, Queen Bey was spotted attending the Golden State Warriors game with husband Jay Z on Saturday despite the divorce rumors hounding the couple.
Beyoncé's Super Bowl performance was sexy, confrontational, politically charged and paid tribute to Southern black femininity. Her outfit comprised of a black leather body suit with militaristic, criss-crossing gold sashes, was a tribute to Michael Jackson.
The costume drew resemblance to the late pop star's performance during Super Bowl show in 1993.
Beyoncé performed her new song "Formation," which taps numerous racial issues including police violence against black people and the inhumane treatment of Hurricane Katrina victims.
The backup dancers were dressed in black sporting outfits, referencing to Black Panthers. The group also did not shy away from expressing their views on political action through moves and actions, according to Los Angele Times.
The other performers of the Super Bowl halftime show were British rock band Coldplay and American singer Bruno Mars.
Apart from all the sensational moments captured during Beyoncé's performance, Queen Bey was also caught sharing few cute moments with her and Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy Carter. The 4-year-old was seen on the field, admiring her mother while the latter performed at the dress rehearsal, according to USA Today.
Beyonce and Jay Z were recently rumored to be on the verge of divorce following cheating rumors from the rapper's end.
But the night before her Super Bowl halftime performance, the power couple were spotted sitting courtside at the Golden State Warriors' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on Saturday, Feb. 6.
Beyonce and Jay Z, who debunked the divorce rumors by attending the game together, was joined by Kendrick Lamar, Dave Chappelle, Michael B. Jordan, Jim Harbaugh, Michael Sam and Nichelle Nichols.
Dozens of other sports and media personalities were also present in the sold out Oracle Arena, noted Mercury News.
