'Outlander' Season 2 Spoilers: Caitriona Balfe Teases Lesser Sex Scenes Between Jamie And Claire

Jamie Randall (Sam Heughan) and wife Claire (Caitriona Balfe) traveled in last season's finale to France and found themselves more involved in politics.
To those hoping to see them get more intimate, that might not happen. Recent "Outlander" Season 2 spoilers revealed that Claire is pregnant when the Starz TV series returns. That, and Jamie's trauma will prevent them from getting into steamy sex scene says Heughan.
"Well, now they're married," Heughan noted during an interview with Elle. "Claire is pregnant, and Jamie is suffering from the trauma of season one and what happened to him at the end. So their relationship is in a very strange place now."
"The honeymoon is kind of over. But that doesn't mean they won't get back there. They have a lot going on and they're working on their relationship. Their relationship is less innocent and young. It's now more grown up."
"Outlander" season 2 will start with Jamie just barely moving on from the ordeal he suffered from the hands of Jack Black, the spoilers reveal.
Balfe said in previous interviews that they will use Jamie's political mission to help him defeat trauma.
"I think this season Claire kind of sees that he needs something else to take his mind off what had happened and to give him some sort of other reason for getting up in the morning and going to do stuff," Balfe said in an interview with Blastr back in August.
"She uses the politics and gives him this mission, in a way, to sort of help him get passed what happened."
They might not be having some 'physical actions' but the Irish actress insisted that her character is still there to take care of Jamie.
"With Jamie, in the 18th century, once they come together, she is Jamie's wife," Balfe told PEOPLE as reported by Your Health Mag. "She is still very much the healer - the conjurer woman. She has her own destiny. She can fulfill it with Jamie."
"Outlander" season 2 air date is expected to be around April or May this year.
