“Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization” PS4 And PS Vita Release Dates Announced By Bandai Namco!
First, there was a teaser shown during Tokyo Game Show in Japan last September. And finally, Bandai Namco made if official: the upcoming game "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" for PS4 as well as PS Vita has been announced at Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival in Akihabara. It is slated for 2016 release in Japan according to a report from Gematsu.
The game, which is inspired from the popular anime series "Sword Art Online," is set in an all-new virtual reality MMORPG called "Sword Art: Origin." The servers of the death game "Sword Art Online" are the basis for "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" for PS4 and PS Vita with its setup served as research and development. Now, in this virtual reality MMORPG, lead character Kirito receives a single message which is still a mystery to find out.
More information regarding "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" on PS4 and PS Vita will be published in 600th volume of Dengeki PlayStation magazine, which will be released in newsstands on Thursday, Oct. 8.
It was also revealed that their mobile games "Sword Art Online Code Register" will have crossover costumes with their "Tales of" franchise. A sample shown was heroine Asuna wearing Milla's costume from "Tales of Xillia," along with Milla wearing Asuna's costume according to Anime News Network. The said game is available for both Android and iOS formats.
Also, announced a special PS4 "Sword Art Online: Game Director's Edition" Aincrad Model, available in Jet Black and Glacier White color variations which can be ordered from the Sony Store.
It will be released on the same date of "Sword Art Online: Game Director's Edition" launch in Japan on Nov. 19. Purchase includes PS4 version of "Sword Art Online: Lost Song" and a download code for" Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment." Priced at 42,980 yen ($357.60), pre-orders will be accepted starting Oct. 5 at 11:00 AM JPT.
