Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Coldplay Rocks Super Bowl 2016 Halftime Show, Beyonce Missed Half A Step? [VIDEO]
The Super Bowl frenzy heats up as fans rave for the much anticipated halftime show. Who are in the lineup this year? It's just Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Coldplay- not just big names, but the biggest names in the entertainment industry today.
The show kicked off with Chris Martin of Coldplay singing the opening to the band's hit single "Viva la Vida."
A swirl of multi- colored flowers and sunbursts dominated the video screen as Martin and the rest of the band members started to play a few of their best hits "Adventure of a Lifetime," while violinists and a marching band dressed in psychedelic costumes accompanied the band, adding to the bursting colorful performance on stage.
Fans went gaga all over the field when Martin segued Bruno Mars as the next performer to rock out the stage. Mars sang and flaunted his way out of his groovy dance moves to his very own hit single, "Uptown Funk."
Then shortly came the queen who ruled the NFL stage and took away everyone's breath. Beyonce or Queen B, came out clad in a tight, black once piece suit adorned with a bandolier reminiscent to Michael Jackson's costume in his 1993 world tour performance.
Beyonce oozed with energy as she performed 'almost' flawlessly in her chunky high heels- almost because of a half step she missed out wherein she recovered quickly and saved herself from stumbling right on stage.
Queen B, who sang and grooved with a group of back-up dancers in black berets and afros with semblance to how the Black Panther Party dressed up back in 1960s sent a strong political message in support of 'Black Lives Matter,' which currently have been making waves in social media which racked and irked conservatives.
Martin closed the performance along with a montage of past Super Bowl halftime show masters and some of whom have died which was flashed onscreen. Some of the legendary performers were Whitney Houston, U2, the Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson, who was considered to be the best halftime show performance ever in history.
"No matter where you are, we're in this together. Let's go," Martin sang as he spurred nostalgia throughout the field.
