Beyonce Sends Political Message At Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show: ’Black Lives Matter’ Irks Conservatives
It is a given that fans and audiences of the Super Bowl highly anticipate its halftime show every year. Then you have Beyonce Knowles in the lineup on the most-anticipated sports event of the year. Of course, it is no surprise that Queen B slayed the halftime performance, but there is more- she did not only gave a banging performance on the Super Bowl 50 halftime show but took it in a bit of a political and deeper level this time, and it's making waves in social media, CNN reported Monday.
Queen B's performance was not just all glitz, swag and hair flips. Beyonce took it to a more cultural and political level by doing a tribute performance to 'Black Lives Matter'. But how do conservatives took it?
Her back-up dancers were all clad in black, with black berets and afros that are reminiscent of the Black Panther Party get-up in the 1960s, while Queen B donned a bandolier similar to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson in his 1993 Super Bowl performance.
