Beyonce Sends Political Message At Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

It is a given that fans and audiences of the Super Bowl highly anticipate its halftime show every year. Then you have Beyonce Knowles in the lineup on the most-anticipated sports event of the year. Of course, it is no surprise that Queen B slayed the halftime performance, but there is more- she did not only gave a banging performance on the Super Bowl 50 halftime show but took it in a bit of a political and deeper level this time, and it's making waves in social media, CNN reported Monday.

Queen B's performance was not just all glitz, swag and hair flips. Beyonce took it to a more cultural and political level by doing a tribute performance to 'Black Lives Matter'. But how do conservatives took it?

Her back-up dancers were all clad in black, with black berets and afros that are reminiscent of the Black Panther Party get-up in the 1960s, while Queen B donned a bandolier similar to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson in his 1993 Super Bowl performance.

And how do conservative took Queen B's performance?

"I think it was outrageous," former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said. Giuliani apparently dod not get Queen B's performance from an artistic and culturally- relevant standpoint. They are also not in the same page with regard to their political standpoint and support on "Black Lives Matter."

Meanwhile, activist Deray McKesson, who is also an advocate of 'Black Lives Matter' tweeted: "At its core, she is reminding us that economic justice is a key component to liberation work."

Still clinging to her own principles, Queen B sure knows how to keep up with the bashers and be gratified with praises from her supporters. Apart from her advocacy on 'Black Lives Matter', she also started the The singer also started the #BeyGood fund that supports local United Way programs that aim for cleaner water for residents of Flint, Michigan.
