Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Boyfriend Nick Gordon Loses Counsel In Wrongful Death Suit
While the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown is still under investigation, boyfriend Nick Gordon was dropped by his lawyer in the civil lawsuit filed against the former baseball player by the family of the late Whitney Houston's daughter.
Gordon's attorney, Bryant Green, has reportedly stepped down as his lawyer. It is not known who decided to cut ties, but according to rumors, Bobbi Kristina Brown's former boyfriend was not co-operating with his legal counsels.
"Attorney Bryant Green is no longer working with Nick Gordon on his civil case involving Bobbi Kristina Brown's family," revealed a source, noted Enstarz. "There was a conflict of interest involving Nick and Bryant Green. At this time, the case is still at a point until Nick Gordon finds new counsel as he is currently working without counsel on everything pro se."
The family had filed a $10 million lawsuit against her foster brother-turned-boyfriend in connection to Bobbi Kristina Brown's death. He was accused of giving Bobbi a "toxic cocktail" which supposedly made her unconscious on the night of Jan. 31, 2015.
Whitney Houston's daughter was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub of the Georgia home she shared with Gordon, according to Music News.
Bobbi Kristina Brown's bathtub incident eerily resembled the way Whitney Houston died three years ago. The singing diva was also found in the bathtub reportedly rendered unconcious by drugs.
Bobbi was rushed to the hospital and was kept under medically induced coma. After about six months, the aspiring singer and actress died in hospice care in July 2015.
According to the District Attorney's office, the investigation into Bobbi Kristina Brown's death remains open, but no criminal charges have been filed against Gordon or anyone else.
While Gordon is in search for a new representation, the former baseball player maintains his innocence over the death of Whitney Houston's daughter. Recently, he took to twitter and posted photos of Bobbi Kristina Brown on Jan. 31, which marks the day she was found unconscious in the tub.
