Toys R Us Mew Distribution Event Code Sharing Begins Ahead Of Pokemon Day 2016

With several exciting Pokemon milestones happening in 2016, a new legendary distribution event has been announced, with further details revealed by Serebii.

Reportedly, the distribution event will be for the "Pokemon Red," "Pokemon Blue" and "Pokemon Green" players who have the special 2DS and Mew exchange ticket.

"The Mew distribution will run from March 19 through May 8 at Pokemon Center, Pokemon Store, Toys R Us, Tsutaya and Aeon stores," says the posting. "In advance, they recommend that you save the game in front of the Cable Club and put a Pokemon at the head of your party to trade. They also recommend you change your console's username to match that of Pokemon."

This is a follow-up to the recent Mew distribution events which have begun happening around the globe. Given the need for such codes, Pokemon fans around the world have begun conducting code sharing in order for other players to take advantage of the distribution events.

But this is not the only exciting Pokemon event for fans to look forward to. According to My Nintendo News, Feb. 27 will be officially celebrated as Pokemon Day.

Reportedly, Nintendo NY at Rockefeller Center will host "fun activities for all attendees," alongside merchandise by Toys R Us.

"Head to Toys R Us to receive special foil cards featuring Pikachu and Magikarp from the new Pokemon TCG: Generations expansion, as well as a Pokemon activity book and a poster of the original 151 Pokemon, while supplies last," says the official Pokemon website.
