Samsung prepares to bring its apps to iOS

Earlier this month, Samsung announced Gear S2 iOS support, making it possible for the smartwatch to pair with iPhones.

With that move, the South Korean tech giant paved the way for future iOS compatibility with other Samsung devices too.

However, now it turns out, that was just the beginning. Samsung is reportedly working to provide more iOS support for most if its applications, as reported by SamMobile.

The idea behind this move, according to analysts, is to expand the company's software compatibility as part of its Internet of Things initiative that will enable different across platforms connect and communicate with one another.

The report also states that the company will pretty soon roll out most of its popular apps, if not all, to iOS users by the end of 2016.

While Samsung is yet to confirm these reports, it seems like the Gear Fit Manager will be released on iOS in a matter of weeks. The app will enable users to pair their iPhones with the Gear Fit smartwatch.

In addition, Samsung is likely to work on the S Health app for the iPhone. S Health is a health and fitness app that allows users to monitor their day-to-day activities, food consumption, sleep, workouts and more.

Not just that, it appears that Samsung is already beefing up the Smart Camera too, one of its most popular apps is already available for iOS users.

If true, iOS version of the app will enable users to remotely control their Samsung smart cameras using a paired-up iPhone.

Adding more to its efforts, the Galaxy-maker is also reportedly bringing iOS support to the Galaxy View.

The report also claimed Samsung is currently counting on this mass migration of apps to make sure that its non-smartphone devices can seamlessly connect and communicate with devices across platforms.
