'Avengers: Infinity War' News: Josh Brolin Reveals What It's Like Playing Thanos
It would have been easy for Josh Brolin to just voice a CGI version of Thanos on "Avengers: Infinity War," but recent news reveal that the American actor appreciated his work more because of the hard work involved.
Brolin talked about his state of mind when playing the ultimate villian, one that could easily wipe out a million earths.
"It's not voice work, it's mo-cap," stated Brolin, as reported by We Got This Covered, referring to motion capture.
"I'm there. I'm there and I'm not in a booth. I'm being filmed," he explained. "I have a bunch of crap on my face. [laughs] I'm being filmed by like thirty-four cameras? Thirty-six cameras? Something like that. Every movement, everything."
"So, it's very new to me, it's very exciting, it's very unnerving," he added.
But Brolin immediately added that he fully trust the crew of "Avengers: Infinity War" to do a very good job of translating the pure menace of Thanos on the screen.
"We're supposed to get together very soon to talk about the trajectory of Thanos in the next few years and it's very exciting. It's one of the better decisions I think I've made," he added.
Previous news reports on "Avengers: Infinity War" revealed how Josh Brolin has been apprehensive regarding playing Thanos.
Apparently, the character of Mad Titan was so intimidating that the 47-year-old actor was more nervous playing the character more than anything he has done in previous films, according to Inquisitr.
While the Mad Titan is definitely going to play a major role in the two-installment movie "Avengers: Infinity War," all the Infinity Stones have not been found.
For now, four out of six Infinity Stones have been disclosed, but is it still not clear when the last two will appear.
"The Space," Tesseract, is currently residing in Asgard. Whereas, the "Mind Stone" is serving as the power source of Vision. The third is "Reality Stone" which is currently housed in The Collector's museum and the fourth is the "Power Stone" which is residing at Nova Corps.
The location of the last two stones, the "Soul Stone" and the "Time Stone" will eventually be revealed, according to Movie Web.
