Hilary Duff Not Reuniting With Mike Comrie? Ex-Couple Fine Being Co-Parents To Son Luca

Hilary Duff and estranged husband Mike Comrie have developed quite a platonic relationship after their divorce. And although they are doing everything to co-parent their 4-year-old son, there's no chance of getting back together.

Duff was on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday, Jan. 29. The former Disney star revealed her current relationship with ex-husband, Comrie, and how the two are trying to be friends for the sake of their son, Luca.

"I think that's the way it should be," the 28-year-old singer and actress told the talk show host, according to in Touch.

"We have such a great kid, and we're both so obsessed with him. We are good friends and we laugh a lot and we have great communication. We share pictures when one is not with Luca. Yeah, he's great. We are great and we keep on trucking," she added.

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie tied the knot in 2010. After the announcement of their divorce in January 2014, the two were often spotted together with their son on various play dates, reported The Huffington Post.

Duff eventually filed the divorce papers in February 2015, which makes the possibility of the ex-couple getting back together that much slimmer.

The divorce has yet to be finalized, however, over issues relating to child custody. In spite of everything, Duff admits she is in great terms with Comrie, according to US Weekly.

Previous reports claimed that Hilary Duff wanted to make another go at her relationship with Mike Comrie after the split.

But she changed her mind when her ex-husband got drunk and hit on a waitress at a Beverly Hills hotspot in February last year. Apparently, the ex-hockey player got drunk and threw money at a waitress after refusing to have sex with him.

A day after the report surfaced, Duff filed for separation, requested primary custody of their son Luca and created a tension in their relationship for a while.

"Hilary finally realized Mike wasn't going to change," told an insider to Us Weekly. "He totally blew it and chose to live life like he was single."
