Will Jim Carrey And Morgan Freeman join the cast of "Bruce Almighty 2?"

Will the long-awaited "Bruce Almighty 2" movie finally be filmed after years of longing for its original cast members?

Will Jim Carrey bend his personal no-movie-sequels rule?

In an interview with the press of the Television Critics Association, veteran actor Morgan Freeman (who played the role of God in "Bruce Almighty," shared his thoughts on a possible sequel and whether or not he would be willing to rejoin the cast.

"I think I would have to if they did it," Freeman said, as reported in Slashfilm.

According to the Morgan Freeman, he would reprise his role if there ever was a "Bruce Almighty 2" production, in one condition.

"If Jim Carrey plays his character, and if I was called on, I would feel obligated," he said.

It's been years since the wildly successful comedy film, "Bruce Almighty," which tells the story of a news reporter named Bruce (Jim Carrey) who was exclusively given a portion of God's powers to do whatever he wanted. Its spin-off movie, "Evan Almighty," starring Steve Carell, didn't do quite as well in the box office.

Jim Carrey has long been known to refuse doing sequels of his movies (until "Dumb & Dumber To").

In fact, Bustle listed the many non-Jim Carrey sequels of Carrey's movies, including "Ace Ventura," "The Mask" and yes, "Bruce Almighty."

Meanwhile, the comedian somewhat threw shade on the importance people place on awards shows during the Golden Globes 2016.

This after Jim Carrey's girlfriend, Cathriona White, committed suicide in September last year.

"Thank you, I am two-time Golden Globe winner Jim Carrey," Jim Carrey joked during the Golden Globes. "You know, when I go to sleep at night, I'm not just a guy going to sleep. I'm two-time Golden Globe winner Jim Carrey going to get some well-needed shut-eye."

"And when I dream I don't just dream any old dream. No sir. I dream about being three-time Golden Globe-winning actor Jim Carrey. Because then I would be enough. It would finally be true. And I could stop this -- terrible search for what I know ultimately won't fulfill me."
