Google Pixel C Price, Specs And Features: Is It Really The Best Android Tablet Money Can Buy?
Google rolled out Google Pixel C, the company's first solo venture in the worldwide tablet market last year in September.
With a rather impressive specs of 10.2-inch screen alongside a next-generation touch sensitive keyboard, Google originally planned to project the Pixel C as a handy alternative to the laptop.
It fell short of that goal considering the obvious fact that a tablet - however powerful, cannot totally outshine the PC on many fronts.
But having said that, the device stood exceptionally well in the cut-throat competitive market, so much so that it was called by many as an ideal alternative to the mighty iPad (more specifically, the iPad Air 2).
Some also called it the best Android tablet money can buy.
If Google Pixel C's price, specs and features are to be carefully examined, it becomes clear that those claims are all but unfounded.
The device comes loaded with the powerful 8 core Nvidia Tegra X1 and 64-bit CPU along with a native Maxwell GPU (256 core).
This spending combination makes the Pixel C an ideal device for all kinds of system intensive tasks.
Simply put, it's one of those tablets that even the most dedicated gamer with unusually high expectations would find hard to complain about.
After all, the 256-core Maxwell GPU happens to be the same graphic card Nvidia used in its GeoForce desktop to cater to the high expectations of hardcore gamers.
Priced at around $500 (32 GB) and $600 (64 GB), the Pixel C also boasts an astounding design that's pretty lightweight and hence, easy to carry.
But the most interesting specs of the device is its unusually long battery life for an Android tablet.
In fact, if we look closer, the overwhelming majority of the tablets floating around on the market today have a bad reputation when it comes to battery back-up.
Even the iPad can't claim to be immune from that shortfall.
With 12+ hours of video-playback time, the Pixel C's battery is indeed more powerful than any other tablet in its league, or even the iPad Air 2.
The display quality is pretty neat and it goes easy on your eyes, which drastically enhances movie and image performance.
The Bluetooth keyboard is as good as any desktop keyboard.
Pixel C runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow - the newest Android version. In terms of functions, Marshmallow is not much different from the previous versions, but it definitely brings you many more customization capabilities.
So far drawbacks are concerned, some might complain that with the device tends to be more on the heavier side when attached to the keyboard. But that's pretty much the only issue that could go against it.
Barring that, with all factors taken into account, the Google Pixel C price, specs and features definitely make it one of the best Android tablets in its category.
