Microsoft's Project Spark is initially released free with some premium content to be paid by users. It lets you make and share games and short animated films for Xbox platforms and Windows 8. However, a major Project Spark DLC update from Microsoft announced that all of the various DLC content will soon be available for all users - for free, as reported by VG247.

Along with the announcement of Project Spark DLC update, the computer giant is also lifting restrictions on terrain and in-game props, adding up a load of new assets to the creation tool.

The official statement from Microsoft says that effective October 5, Project Spark will transition from being a micro-transaction model to a free and open creation engine. This will automatically unlock previously paid downloadable content for all new and existing Project Spark users. Also, it will pivot from producing DLC and active feature development, encouraging more user-generated stuff and opening the Project Spark experience according to a report from PC Gamer.

Another Project Spark DLC update includes active feature development, however it also sounds like Microsoft has no longer plans to produce more content for the platform.

"In light of these changes to a fully free model, all players who have purchased Project Spark digital content on or after July 28, 2015, purchased and activated retail discs on or after July 28, 2015 or have a remainder balance of purchased in-game tokens will be entitled to Microsoft Store credit equivalent to their money spent. Microsoft Store credits will be awarded to all users within 30-60 days after October 5." This is published in the Xbox official website.

As Microsoft says it will no longer create episodic adventures for the upcoming Project Spark DLC update, this also means the end of Conker's adventures in the said platform. According to Cinemablend, they are considering the release of Xbox 360 version however with this news, this will never come to fruition anymore.
