'NBA 2K16' Update: Developer Releases Patch Number 5 For Xbox One, PlayStation 4
The fifth "NBA 2K16" patch was recently released by the game's developer, 2K Sports. The update was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
According to 2K Sports, the latest "NBA 2K16" patch was released as a preparation for the upcoming tournament dubbed as "Road To The Finals 2K Pro-Am."
Based on the patch notes released by 2K Sports, the latest patch does not contain any gameplay fix or MyLeague and MyGM update. Accordingly, the patch focuses mainly on patching some bugs especially with MyPARK, MyCOURT and Pro-Am modes.
Among the bugs fixed in the patch was the issue that allows gamers to equip certain mascot costumes even if they did not satisfy the rep level requirement in MyPARK. The patch also fixes the MyCOURT issue where players are sometimes disconnected during scrimmage games, especially when there are spectators.
Another major bug that was fixed with the patch involves unwanted ankle breaker reaction from defending players even if they are in a good defensive position. Finally, the latest "NBA 2K16" patch adds the Player of the Week and Player of the Month tab on the MyPARK leaderboards.
In terms of roster update, the latest "NBA 2K16" patch includes major changes in terms of player ratings. One of the most notable change was for Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat who now has a 100 rating for shot blocking, according to Design and Trend.
DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings and Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics both received increase in their ratings. On the other hand, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Pau Gasol of the Chicago Bulls were hit with significant decrease in their respective ratings.
Gamers who are expecting new "NBA 2K16" locker codes will be pleased to know that 2K Games released a new set of codes. The most sought after code was the Limited Dynamic Diamond Stephen Curry code, according to Christian Today.
