Spoilers reveal that "Pretty Little Liars" returns to season 6 with the biggest twist: the murder of Charlotte DeLaurentis played by Vanessa Ray.

With this spin in the story comes various speculations of who murdered the show's big baddie.

The latest spoilers of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 suggest that the murderer would be the most unexpected person, and that's no other than Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Charlotte's sister.

According to the latest theories, Alison's character as a kind and loving teacher does not look convincing. The fact is, she just wanted Charlotte out of the hospital so that she could kill her.

Alison is believed to be setting up the Liars, so that one of them gets suspected for Charlotte's murder, according to MTV.

In the mid-season premier, Alison had persuaded the Liars into telling the judge that they will feel safer if Charlotte is released from the mental hospital, where she was admitted for five years. This was reportedly Alison's plan all along.

"With all of them saying 'release her' and one of them saying, 'I won't feel safe with Charlotte released,' it looks like they wanted her released so one of them could kill her," suggested a post by Tumblr user "The Best PLL Theories" as reported in Fashion 'N Style.

According to the post by the Tumblr user, the rose found in Alison's house is also a hint suggesting she is Charlotte's killer as the baddie was found with a rose in her hand when she died.

One of the "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 cast members, Shay Mitchell, didn't reveal spoilers on Charlotte's killer since she has no idea who.

Mitchell also told that she talked to the executive producer Marlene King, who revealed that the killer's identity may be exposed towards the season's end, according to Design & Trend.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 airs on Freedom Network on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
