Mama June, Sugar Bear Fail To Mend Relationship; ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Stars Split
Mama June and Sugar Bear are reportedly splitting up after the "Honey Boo Boo" stars' two-year altercation over each other's infidelity.
"They're definitely not together now," a family insider revealed, according to Radar Online.
"There was no saving that relationship after everything they had been through," added the source.
Mama June Shannon and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson rose to fame after being featured in the TLC reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." The cheating allegations began in 2014 when she was spotted hanging out with her ex-boyfriend, which eventually put an end to the show.
Mama June was allegedly caught cheating on Sugar Bear with the guy who spent 10 years in prison for molesting their oldest daughter, Anna now 22, as a child. But it was not only the matriarch who reportedly caused the demise of their relationship as Thompson was also caught in a sex scandal.
When they appeared in WE TV's "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars," Sugar Bear confessed to cheating on Mama June with both men and women.
It was also during that stint when Mama June Shannon demanded from Sugar Bear to come clean about his supposed infidelity.
"I wanted to get answers, because there's so many [questions] that needed to be answered from him that I wasn't getting at home," Shannon said in an interview, as shared by Fashion and Style. "He would get defensive, [and] he would get angry," she added.
The "Honey Boo Boo" matriarch noted that she saw cheeky texts from both men and women on Sugar Bear's phone. And after much prodding from Mama June, Mike Thompson eventually admitted everything including the story that he almost cheated on her with a Dublin woman as well as the issue that he experimented with guys, noted Mail Online.
By the end of the "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" show, the couple seemed to be on their way to mend their relationship.
"We are still living separately," Mama June explained. "It's a work in progress. It's just a stepping stone to give you the tools to be able to go back home and use those."
