As the first part of Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" is expected to hit theaters this 2018, there are rumors claiming that the "The Defenders" team will be joining Earth's mightiest heroes to fight the villains.

The likelihood of Marvel TV stars crossing over to the big screen and being part of the "Avengers" next movie seems strong, if reports are to be believed.

According to a recent announcement, Marvel and Netflix are teaming up on "The Defenders." Before the debut of "Daredevil" on Netflix, it was confirmed that the characters of Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as reported by Kpopstarz.

Also, directors Joe and Anthony Russo earlier revealed that "Avengers: Infinity War" will have around 67 characters on board. The declaration ensured that the movie will be a big event, which will require clubbing together superheroes from all of Marvel's franchises, including television.

Even "Daredevil" star Charlie Cox believes that Marvel studio may re-cast the "Man Without Fear" in their next "Avengers" flick.

"I have not received that call! Could you imagine? That would be the coolest thing ever," said Cox, reported Movie Web.

"I have no idea how... Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two very different things," said Cox. "So even if the character were to appear in that film, that doesn't necessarily mean that I would appear in that film. I will pick a fight with the guy that they choose!"

"That would be a dream. But that is not something that has been discussed with me at this point," he added.

Crossovers between Marvel Studios and Marvel Television are not new. It has happened before as some movie characters have appeared in the ABC TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and "Agent Carter."

But crossovers have never been the other way round as no TV characters have appeared in the films yet, according to CBR.

With "Avengers: Infinity War" Part I releasing on May 4, 2018 and Part 2 on May 3, 2019, the fans will have to wait and watch how the speculated crossover fare in reality.
