Demi Lovato's Twitter Goes Viral As Singer Posts Makeup-Free Photo; 'Devonne’ Line Promoted!
Demi Lovato's Twitter page recently went viral as the singer posted several makeup-free photos to promote her "Devonne By Demi" skincare line.
An au naturale snapshot uploaded by Demi Lovato on Twitter last weekend showed the 23-year-old singer sipping on a drink to celebrate what she called "Fresh Face Friday" or FFF.
"Happy #FFF!" she tweeted. "Show me your beautiful fresh Friday faces and tell me what @devonnebydemi has been doing for your skin!"
The former "X-Factor" judge shared another makeup-free image to start the week right for "No Makeup Monday" or NMM.
"Happy #NMM my beauties," Demi Lovato wrote. "Let me see your face nudies in honor of #NMM and @devonnebydemi!"
Replies were posted by Demi Lovato's Twitter followers, specifically those who also suffered from self-esteem issues and eating disorders that the former Disney talent went through at the height of her career as a teen star.
"No makeup and fighting anorexia while eating a cupcake," one follower wrote alongside her own makeup-free photo with a pastry on one hand.
"Devonne makes me look fresh," another fan said about the young actress' Devonne skincare products.
Just recently, the "Cool for the Summer" singer sat down with Allure magazine to explain how she feels more confident now that she is over her eating disorders and substance abuse issues.
"A year ago, on tour, almost every inch of my body was covered by clothing, and it was because I was hiding behind so many layers," Demi Lovato admitted.
"Once I started feeling better about myself, I felt better about showing more skin. I have insecurities about my arms, so to wear a tank top on stage is extremely liberating for me, and uncomfortable sometimes.
"It's also a statement, like, 'Hey, watch out. You're no longer getting the insecure Demi that you've been getting for the past couple of years. I mean business now,'" she said.
