The release date of Frank Ocean's much anticipated album "Boys Don't Cry" is still under wraps as fans eagerly await for the singer's offering.

Recent rumors have surfaced speculating that a new collaboration, which will be part of the album, is in the works. Rapper Rich The Kid, who was spotted FaceTiming Frank Ocean inside a recording studio, was the root behind the wild speculations.

Frank Ocean's new album has been a great suspense for his fans for close to a year now. The "Thinkin Bout You" singer announced last April that an album and a magazine entitled "Boys Don't Cry" were set to be released last July. But the whole year passed without any update.

The latest news about his new album was reportedly given by Rich The Kid, who is allegedly working with the singer on some tracks.

Rich The Kid recently dropped a hint that he and Frank Ocean are currently working on the album, through a Twitter post. He shared a FaceTime screenshot of the two of them with the caption, "Me X Frank Ocean... Smh," reported Music.Mic.

Later, the Atlanta rapper deleted the tweet about their possible collaboration.

While Frank Ocean is keeping himself away from the media, an update on his new album from the Rich The Kid came as a big surprise for all of his fans.

The rapper, who is famous for promoting himself in every possible way, shared that he and Frank Ocean are indeed working together.

"We recording new music today," said Rich per a report by Hot New HipHop. "We are in L.A. I'm here working with Wiz [Khalifa] and I called him [Frank Ocean], he's in the studio."

The said statement has reportedly confirmed with finality that, indeed, Frank Ocean's new album is still in works although it is not ready for release yet.
