'Cloverfield 2' Second Trailer Set For Release Soon? Movie Not Related To First Film?
The talks about a second trailer for "Cloverfield 2" has been making the rounds on the internet. This is coming from the recent release of the first teaser video.
According to fans, it might only be a matter of months before producers decide to release the second trailer that fans are also hoping would show more insights to the how the characters contribution to the whole story of the film would pan out.
While the rumors are convincing a lot of people, the producers have yet to release a statement about it to confirm the news officially.
Aside from the trailer of "Cloverfield 2," the movie is reported to not be related to the original film. According to IGN, some people are speculating that director JJ Abrams might be making an anthology series, instead of connecting the story to the first film.
Moreso, the speculation details that the series might only be under the franchise, but with a totally different storyline.
As previously reported by Den of Geek, a surprise clip for the movie was just released, shocking fans and making them assume that the film is connected because of the title, "10 Cloverfield Lane."
In a previous interview with Collider, Abrams himself spoke up about the things that one should watch out for.
"The idea came up a long time ago during production," said the director. "We wanted to make it a blood relative of 'Cloverfield.' The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible".
Whether the alleged trailer for "Cloverfield 2" will be released soon or not, fans are on standby until it eventually happens.
"10 Cloverfield Lane" stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead ("Alex of Venice"), John Goodman ("Argo") and John Gallagher Jr. ("Jonah Hex"). The movie is slate for a March 11, 2016 release.
