Sarah Palin Endorses Fellow Republican Donald Trump; Real Estate Mogul Says He's A Big Fan
According to CNN, Republican presidential bet Donald Trump was endorsed by Sarah Palin on Tuesday. Palin is the former Alaska governor who also aspired to run for the vice-presidency during the 2008 national elections.
"Looking around at all of you, you hard working Iowa families, you farm families and teachers and teamsters and cops and cooks, you rock and rollers and holy rollers!" Palin said during the rally. "You all make the world go around and now our cause is one."
"Are you ready for the leader to make America great again?" Palin said during a rally at Iowa State University while Trump was beside her. "Are you ready to stump for Trump? I'm here to support the next president of the United States - Donald Trump."
So far, Sarah Palin's endorsement is the highest profile endorsement for a Republican so far.The endorsement, in addition, came the same day when Terry Branstad, the current Republican mayor of Iowa, stated that he hoped that Senator Ted Cruz won't be successful in Iowa. The Feb. 1 caucuses must go for the Texas Senator since he and Mr. Trump are running neck-and neck in state polls.
During the rally, Trump looked like he's satisfied when Palin boldly told mainstream Republicans that they are sellouts and when she praised Trump for defiantly shaking the party. "He's been going rogue left and right," the female former governor said of Mr. Trump. "That's why he's doing so well. He's been able to tear the veil off this idea of the system."
"I'm a big fan of Sarah Palin," Donald Trump said when reporters asked him about Palin. "This is a woman that, from Day 1, I said, 'If I ever do this, I have to get her support,'." The news about Sarah Palin's endorsement was first reported by The New York Times.
