‘The Bachelor’ 2016: Ben Higgins Finds An ‘Awkward’ Girlfriend In Jubilee Sharpe?
"The Bachelor" 2016 star Ben Higgins went on a date with Jubilee Sharpe where he reportedly saw the "awkward" but endearing side of the hopeful.
The two took a helicopter ride for their San Diego date, but as it was hovering at "The Bachelor" mansion, Jubilee Sharpe expressed her apprehensions.
Sharpe said, per Hollywood Life, "Wait a second, I'm deathly afraid of heights. I'm not gonna lie, I'm terrified. I'm gonna die! Does anyone else want to go on my date?"
It was the first time that Ben Higgins and Jubilee Sharpe went on a one-on-one date on "The Bachelor" season 20, and the reality show dropped a teaser for the Jan. 18, 2016 episode showing things don't seem too go well for the pair.
Based on the report of Us Weekly, Ben Higgins tried to make the date romantic by trying to feed Jubilee Sharpe with caviar after she admitted that she's hasn't tried one.
"I can't," the war vet protested while trying her best to avoid gagging. "I'm sorry. Oh, my God. I'm so sorry."
She then spit out the caviar on a napkin.
"I felt like I was kind of out of my element. I was just so nervous, and I was kind of scared," the contestant later told the camera.
But Ben Higgins and Jubilee Sharpe later found their footing as the night went on.
According to a source in Bustle, "It's awesome that she opened up to him about something so important to who she is, and it definitely seems to have brought them closer together."
"It's not easy to talk be vulnerable, especially for someone like Jubilee who seems to keep herself closed off to most people," the source added.
At the first the half of the "The Bachelor" 2016, Jubilee Sharpe felt sorry for herself and even believed that she wasn't Ben Higgins' type.
As per Gossip Cop, "Despite an awkward beginning, the Bachelor found himself more attracted,' even when the war veteran called him 'white boy.'"
