Steve Harvey Calls Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach A 'Class Act;' Host Makes Amends With Miss Colombia
Steve Harvey finally got the chance to personally make an apology as he invited Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez together in his show for a two-episode special, "Miss Universe: The Truth."
A report in Rolling Out quoted the host as saying, "This has caused a lot of sleepless nights for me. I didn't do any interviews until I could talk to the two people who were affected the most, Pia and Ariadna."
"No matter how tough it was for me, I can't imagine how it was for these two women. This finally gives me a chance to have a moment of closure."
Steve Harvey also admitted during his show that his family has been receiving death threats as a result of the Miss Universe 2015 scandal.
"I can't let my kids go nowhere," he added.
As the host broke into tears, his wife was there with him all the time to comfort the TV host.
However, a promo clip of the episode with Pia Wurtzbach was shown where the Filipina beauty advised Steve Harvey not to get too down on himself as a result of the Miss Universe 2015 scandal.
"I want some healing to be done. For you and for Miss Colombia. I want that more than anything. So thank you for coming. I thought you were an absolute class act. Absolute class act," the "Family Feud" host was quoted in Manila Bulletin.
Based on the report from NY Post, Pia Wurtzbach also confessed about what was going through her head as the mistake unfolded on stage. The Miss Universe 2015 tried her distance from Miss Colombia and claimed to highly respect her colleague's feelings.
Meanwhile, Steve Harvey is still searching for forgiveness from the woman he mistakenly crowned, Ariadna Gutierrez, during the Miss Universe 2015 scandal.
According to Radar Online, Harvey shared that his primary concern is on Miss Colombia.
"My heart bled for her, and I haven't been able to talk to her since," he said.
Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez will be interviewed on the same show to share her own feelings during the Miss Universe 2015 scandal on Jan. 19, Tuesday.
