‘Gravity Falls’ Finale Update: Mabel To Make A Sacrifice And Dies In ‘Weirdmageddon 3’?

As Feb. 15 draws nearer, followers of "Gravity Falls" must be very excited already to know what kind of surprise the show's finale is giving them.

In its report, Movie Pilot claimed that an "ultimate sacrifice" is bound to happen, as hinted by showrunner Alex Hirsch in a Twitter post. 

"@08db58e6935446d At least one character will not survive the season. Buckle up," Hirsch tweeted on Feb. 23 last year.

While several fans speculated that it could have been the mayor of "Gravity Falls," who actually faced death "soon after this tweet was published," there are still some who think that it could be another character who will not make it during the "Weirdmageddon 3."

Accordingly, a code from "Weirdmageddon I" suggested that "one of the Pines would die in the Oddpocalypse."

This was reportedly further supported by the synopsis released by Disney which said, "Ford discovers Bill's true motives and then a final confrontation with Bill leads to the Pines family's ultimate fate and greatest sacrifice."

Based on the comment of one reader, the character who will bid farewell during the "Gravity Falls" season 2 finale would either be Mabel or Dipper.

"I feel like Mable is gonna die, for some reason," Jasmine Garcia theorized. "Like maybe she'll sacrifice herself for everyone, because she's the one who started it all."

"Maybe she feels guilty?" the reader added. "Idk I don't want her to die, but I do feel like it may be a possibility."

However, it was noted, though, that it could also be Dipper since "he loves her too much to let her go on her own?"

On the other hand, Kpopstarz shared in its update that Hirsch will be working with Fox in developing "a new animated series." 

Citing a report by Variety, the site stated that apart from info, there are still no other details that have been out about the project.
