"Girls" creator, Lena Dunham has been a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton, posting Instagram photos every now and then to promote the presidential candidate. This week, the activist took her support to the next level by taking over the Democratic Party bet's own account on the said social media platform.

On Friday, Dunham posted a photo of herself via Hillary's Instagram, warning followers that she is invading their newsfeeds.

"Hey y'all! I made it to New Hampshire and I'm thrilled to be taking over the HRC Instagram!" Dunham wrote, donning a white and blue striped outfit. "Warning: I'm pretty focused on my outfits. #Imwithher -Lena."

The activist also posted a photo with U.S. soccer player, Abby Wambach, who also joined Hillary Clinton's New Hampshire campaign.

Prior to Lena Dunham's sudden Instagram invasion, Hillary Clinton was featured in "Lenny Letter," Dunham's newsletter focusing on "feminism, style, health, politics, friendship and everything else."

During the interview, the "Girls" star brought some "Instagram-worthy" photos of Hillary in her younger years, asking about her passions outside politics.

"We had lots and lots of vigorous debates back in those days," Clinton said of her youth. "Civil rights, women's rights, the Vietnam War, the assassinations of Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy-the campus was often in turmoil because of things that were happening in the larger world."

Clinton also recalled holding a rally to remove visiting hours by men in their campus.

"Here, we were having a rally, as I recall, to do away with limited visiting hours by men," she said. "We were vigorously contesting the administration that wanted to keep doing things the way they had done them for a hundred years."

"Well, it was a personal interest," she added. "But we had to go political to get them changed, and we did get them changed. Turning the personal into the political is sometimes the only way to stay true to the personal."

Aside from Lena Dunham, Hillary Clinton has other celebrities campaigning for her on Instagram and other social media platform, such as powerhouse couple, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Robert DeNiro and pro baller, Magic Johnson, Fortune reported.
