Steven Yeun's role as Glenn in AMC's "The Walking Dead" is allegedly coming to an end this season 6 because of a new character, Negan, according to recent spoilers.

"A clip from the second half of Season 6 shows that Glenn with a gun within the walls of Alexandria. He was previously watching from afar with Enid (Katelyn Nacon) when the wall fell, but appears ready to fight to save Maggie (Lauren Cohan) carrying their unborn baby," International Business Time reported.

Greg Nicotero, executive producer and makeup specialist of the TV series expressed that the 8 remaining episodes are going to be "relentless" and "heartbreaking".

Design and Trend added, "Nicotero also dropped a little tease related to the arrival of villain Negan, leader of "The Saviors", which will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan."

The executive producer even said that fans should know the series is "climbing towards a major death" if they have read the comic book.

In the comics, Negan was the one who killed Glenn. He did so by bashing the latter's face using his barbed-wire covered baseball bat named Lucille.

In a recently released snippet of the TV series, however, Maggie can be seen screaming for her husband. It's unclear though if she's yelling because he's in danger - or if she is.

Meanwhile, Steven Yeun revealed in an interview that Glenn's death scene in the original "The Walking Dead" comics is "iconic." He went on to say that the TV series must not fail to show such scene to the fans on their screens.

Youth Health Magazine recalled that "in the first part of "The Walking Dead" season 6, Glenn's death was attributed to the suicide of Nicholas (Michael Traynor) that led to the internet exploding, after speculations of his survival surfaced."

In the previous episode of "The Walking Dead," a barely alive Glenn was seen as he managed to hide himself under the corpse of Nicholas. He then crawled under a dumpster.

Now, the latest spoilers via a trailer of "The Walking Dead" season 6 seems to imply that Steven Yeun's Glenn is in trouble again.

AMC's hit TV series resumes on Feb. 14 at 9pm.
