Nina Dobrev Moves On From 'Vampire Diaries' With Skydiving Photo; DeLena Dubbed As 'Timeless' Couple
It seems like things have been going well for "The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev following her exit from the hit TV series earlier last year after a six-season stint.
Reports claimed that the 26-year-old actress has been going on several trips and has been posting updates about her getaways on her social media pages.
In fact, Dobrev has recently shared a video of herself skydiving on New Year and she captioned it, "When I said jumping into 2016, I meant it literally. #HappyHawaii #HappyNew Year,"
On the short video clip, the brunette beauty was shown jumping off a helicopter that was thousands of feet away from the ground. Dobrev also shared a photo of herself with her skydiving guide wherein she was shown making a heart symbol while genuinely smiling.
She wrote, "Sending love and positivity from the top of the world! #HappyHawaii."
Aside from skydiving, reports claimed that Dobrev also spent some time at a beautiful beach in Hawaii with her friends, wherein she was photographed doing her favorite cartwheels.
While she may seem enjoying her life and career after departing from TVD, the show has been reportedly struggling with poor ratings as of late, adding that the fans' interest in each passing episode also declined after Dobrev's character Elena Gilbert was no longer part of the storyline.
Dobrev's character Elena Gilbert is Damon Salvatore's girlfriend in the series. Damon Salvatore is played by Dobrev's former man Ian Somerhalder. They split in May 2013 and immediately made headlines alongside several controversies following the separation.
However, despite the split up and Dobrev's departure from the show, "DeLena" tandem still won the number one spot in the MTV's "Best Couple" of 2015 and was dubbed "timeless" couple, according to Movie News Guide.
The actress has been speculated to make a comeback in the show, adding that she will return in the mid season finale as a new villain. While it was confirmed that a new villain will appear in the following episodes, it will be played by the "Strawberry Cliff" star Leslie-Ann Huff and not Nina Dobrev.
