Perhaps the most recent guy to be linked to the "Pitch Perfect" star is Grammy nominated singer Charlie Puth. 

Seventeen Magazine was the first to suspect the pair, pointing out that they looked too chummy for friends.

Suspicions further increased when Puth denied having any romantic connection with Meghan Trainor, even after kissing her on stage.

"I have a girl kind of in my life right now that I'm not making too public and I don't want people to get the wrong idea," he reportedly said in an interview, further pushing the publication to speculate that Steinfeld could be his secret girl.

However, fans had divided opinions.

While others thought they looked cute together, most of the actress and singer's followers thought she was better suited to become Shawn Mendes' girl.

Their acoustic duet of the Vine star's song, "Stitches," received approval from both stars' fans.

Prior to the two, Steinfeld was linked to Austin Mahone after they posted a selfie together on Instagram as well as her "Romeo and Juliette" co-star Douglas Booth.
