How many gigawatts will it take for "Back to the Future 4" to take off? It seems like zero.

Sad to say, but fans of the acclaimed franchise might not probably see a "Back to the Future 4" movie in the making following reports that have recently surfaced claiming that Universal Studios has no intentions or whatsoever of continuing the classic film.

"It's making them (Universal) insane that we don't want to do another 'Back to the Future,'" co-writer Robert Zemeckis said in an interview, courtesy of the Digital Spy.

"It's like a pres-sold title for them it would open gigantically (at the box office). That's all that anyone cares about," he added.

"But there isn't going to be another 'Back to the Future' so nobody has to worry. We control those characters and have no intention of letting anybody remake those movies," he further explained in the interview.

However, when reporters asked Christopher Lloyd if he was willing to reprise his role in a "Back to the Future 4" movie, he undoubtedly agreed to the idea.

"I would love to do Doc again, no question," the acclaimed actor said, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter.

Yet, he did admit that the feasibility of a "Back to the Future 4" movie ever happening is unlikely.

"It's tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three," the 77-year old actor said, via Screenrant.

"So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original 'Back to the Future' story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. But it could be done, you never know," Lloyd humorously added.

Aside from extinguishing any possibility of a "Back to the Future 4" movie, co-writer and director of the franchise, Bob Gale, went on and assured fans that the two of them have no plans to even release the franchise in a director's cut or a 3D version, as claimed by Cinemablend.
