Disappointment To Gamers: 'Mirror's Edge Catalyst' For PC, PS4 And Xbox One Release Date Delayed
The official blog site of DICE brought a huge disappointment to Faith's fans when it announced that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" for PC, PS4 and Xbox release date has been shifted to May 24, 2016 instead of its earlier announced date of Feb. 23, 2016, said Playstation Lifestyle.
DICE stated the reasons for the delay of the release date claiming that it aims to bring more impressive, entertaining and memorable gaming experience when the players enter the City of Glass and experience the sensation of Faith's adventure in the massive city.
With this announcement, DICA has bagged some additional months for development putting in new strategy, looks and enigma into the game.
"Years ago, we set out an ambitious vision for 'Mirror's Edge Catalyst,' DICA stated. "Achieving that vision and delivering the best possible experience is equally inspiring and challenging. And it takes time."
"We set out to create a vast city to explore, full of stunning vistas, majestic skyscrapers, and mysterious tunnels. We're building the most immersive action-adventure game with fluid movement and combat in first person."
Meanwhile, Senior producer Sara Jansson promised that the wait for the highly anticipated action-adventure game's release date is all worth it.
"'Mirror's Edge Catalyst' will be an all-new playground with a deeper and more engaging story - and we want to accomplish all these goals to the highest quality possible," Jansson explained.
Moreover, Solar Fields will be giving music to "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" once again and the electronic music artist has already shown a promising music demo for the updated version of the game.
"Mirror's Edge Catalyst" for PC, PS4 and Xbox One is slated to be a great sequel to the game, Gadgette.com noted.
It is expected to provide advanced visuals and a brand new story for Faith in the City of Glass, said IGN.com.
