The "19 Kids and Counting" family reportedly celebrated Christmas without Josh Duggar, according to a news update.

The eldest Duggar son has been staying in a "faith-based rehab" following his molestation scandal and Ashley Madison cheating scandal last year.

"Jinger was playing piano, kids were running around with toys," a source reportedly told Entertainment Tonight, as quoted in a news update.

"It was a normal Christmas just without Josh there. It didn't feel like an elephant was in the room, Josh has been away for so long, it's just become normal to have him gone."

According to the insider, Josh Duggar "wasn't mentioned once" during the holiday celebration.

"Josh did not leave his rehab to spend the holidays with the family," another source reportedly told ET, as quoted in the same news update.

"If some of the family went to see him, that is definitely not something everyone in the family knew."

Is Josh Duggar being disowned by his family after his sex scandals that eventually led to the cancellation of their TLC show last year?

Alongside questions about his relationship with his family, news updates are also yet to clarify whether Josh Duggar is still speaking with his wife, Anna Duggar.

It has been previously rumored in October that "19 Kids and Counting" patriarch Jim Bob Duggar purportedly tried to pursuade Anna Duggar to stay with her husband by offering her a luxurious new home where she can live with her new baby and her three other kids.

However, there was purportedly a complication - Jessa also reportedly wanted the house.

"Jim Bob plopped down $354K for the four-bedroom house near the family compound in Springdale, Arkansas," Celeb Dirty Laundry previously wrote, with a report from Life & Style as reference.

"Newlyweds Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald were living there for a time while Anna has been visiting family in California and Arkansas. But dear old dad never intended for the Seewald's to live there permanently."

Just as the Duggar family is keeping a low profile after the scandals, they are also keeping mum about any update on Josh Duggar's treatment at the "faith-based rehab."
