Oculus Rift DK2 was one of the first VR headsets to support SteamVR. Some of the workers left the company after Oculus was acquired by Facebook. Oculus and Valve's relationship has been closing out.

The consumer Rift headset's release window was first confirmed in mid-2015.

Last year, Oculus executives last year hinted that the Rift headset and a computer needed to run it will cost no more than $1,500 altogether.

The sport version of Oculus will be released in 2016. It will have two OLED displays that will bean a resolution of 1080 x 1200 pixels into each eye. The refresh rate will be 90Hz. The headset will support a 100-degree field of view.

VR company Oculus, which was bought by Facebook for about $2 billion last year, premiered their 10-minute short about a lonely hedgehog named Henry at an invite-only event at a private mansion in  Beverly Hills. Guests wore consumer versions of the Oculus Rift headset.
