Latest spoilers for "The Flash" season 2 revealed Robbie Amell is back in the CW Network superhero TV series. However, he might not portray the same character.

Amell, who first appeared in the show as the half of Firestorm, is no longer on the good side when the show resumes in two weeks.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed in the latest "The Flash" season 2 spoilers that the new version of Ronnie Raymond is from Earth-2 and is known as Deathstorm.

"We are beyond excited to have Robbie back on The Flash," the Ep shared to Entertainment Weekly. "You can't keep a good Firestorm down. Only this time, he's back with a twist, a deadly Earth-Two version of our beloved Ronnie in the form of Deathstorm."

Other Earth-2 versions of the main characters are also expected to be featured in future "The Flash" season 2 episodes.

The most notable of these is Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow who, like Ronnie Raymond, is a villain named Killer Frost. Snow's doppelganger from another universe made its debut on the internet through the latest "The Flash" season 2 promo.

In the comics, Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm became the villainous Deathstorm during the Blackest Night event. His plan was to "create enough emotional instability between Ronnie and Jason that the Matrix will trigger another Big Bang thereby destroying of all life in the universe."

Per Cinema Blend, Amell was last seen in the show in the first episode when his Firestorm tried to save Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) from the singularity. He never returned since that event.

Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) lost his partner and to take advantage of his power, they searched for a new capable carrier in high school and former football player Jax Jackson (Franz Drameh).

The second Firestorm will move to another "Arrow" spinoff series "Legends of Tomorrow" and there is no assurance yet whether Amell will reprise his role as Earth-1's Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm.

Watch out for more "The Flash" season 2 spoilers ahead of its return date on Jan. 11.
