'Battleborn' Release Date: Pre-order Bundled With Free Firstborn Pack; Two Characters Revealed As Trevor Ghalt And Deande

"Battleborn" is now up for pre-order on Steam.

According to Steam's pre-purchase website , players will receive 5 Gold Skins and a title with the "Firstborn Pack." The character skins are for Thorn, Reyna, Montana, Marquis, and Rath. Players may also pre-order the game for Xbox One and PS4 here.

As "Battleborn" release date is just around the corner, two characters Ghalt - The Veteran Peacekeeper and Deande - The Jennerit Spymaster have been revealed exclusively to IGN.

IGN reported that Ghalt - The Veteran Peacekeeper is one fo the "main pillars" of "Battleborn" storyline. As for its gameplay, its customized UPR shotgun's last 4 shots deal 25% damage on short distance. Reportedly, he's a "hook and trap specialist" that can deploy a trap to a target location on nearby enemies for 2 seconds and explodes a damage of 133.

Deande, on the other hand, "strings a series of rapid melee strikes, while her secondary attack (LT) hurls her fans at foes for ranged damage," PS LifeStyle noted.

Its "Tessurim War Fans" can unleash 10 strikes that can damage enemies 50 per hit. Deande has also the ability to move undetected and stun enemies through its "Burst Dash" by charging forward and pushing back enemies, PC Gamer added.

With "Battleborn" release date coming, it will be launched with seven playable characters. The other 25 characters will be unlocked "pretty quickly." But Ghalt and Deande would be longer and harder to unlock among others.

"Ghalt and Deande, because they are central to the story mission, will unlock later on in the progression," Creative Director Randy Varnell said.

"We want you to encounter them first interacting with you about the story, then later you get to unlock them and make them your own. These are characters that are extremely central to the plot of the game."

"Battleborn" release date is set on May 3 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
