Did Shawn Mendes Find A Girlfriend On New Year’s Eve? Camila Cabello Not Enough?

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello was one of 2015's most notable rumored couples.

Unfortunately for their shippers, both teenage stars continued to deny any kind of romantic connection in every interview.

They stood on stage once again to sing their duet, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," for Pitbull's New Year Revolution 2016 last Thursday.

According to Hollywood Life, they heated up the stage with their "sexy" collaboration song and even started flirting at each other.

However, a pre-performance interview had the "Stitches" singer once again clearing up his closeness with the Fifth Harmony songstress.

According to Just Jared, Jr., Mendes host Wendy Williams tried to get the teen sensation to spill the beans about his relationship status.

"I hear your girlfriend is here with you tonight," she asked him.

He was quick to deny, however, shrugging off the statement's hidden message. He told Williams that she was "wrong."

"I don't have a girlfriend," he insisted, jokingly adding, "Maybe I'll find one here tonight."

It looks like Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are still just friends but a previous interview seemed to indicate that there might still be hope for the best friends.

When they denied their relationship to late night talk show host James Corden, he didn't let it go right away.

"You're saying no. Can I be honest? I don't believe it. There's no way you haven't made out," he insisted.

"He friendzones me! He calls me 'kid!'" the "Worth It" singer revealed, to which Mendes admitted that he has indeed tried some "moves" on her.

However, he revealed that "every time I try to make a move, she calls me weird."

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello met and grew close after joining Austin Mahone's tour last year.

Ironically, Mahone and Cabello dated each other for a short while after the concert series.
