‘Jurassic World’ Setting Up Plot For A Sequel; Original Cast Members To Reprise Their Roles
Fans of widely acclaimed franchise "Jurassic Park" are in for a big surprise as reports have surfaced about an interesting plot on the much anticipated sequel to "Jurassic World."
Moviegoers would recall that after "Indominus Rex" wreaked havoc in the theme park, the exit of Dr. Henry Wu (played by BD Wong) hopping on to the helicopter with a case full of dinosaur embryos, and the concept of the propagation of technology, actually did a great job of setting up a possible plot for the upcoming sequel to "Jurassic World," as stated by Cinema Blend.
In an interview with Eirc Eisenberg of Cinema Blend, director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow unveiled some of his plot ideas for an upcoming sequel to "Jurassic World," according to the source.
"I feel like that was something that we did in terms of plot that opens up a potential sequel, but I think there are things that we did in terms of theme that might be more viable," the director said.
"There's actually a line we cut from the movie, and sometimes I wonder if I should have... but in that scene with BD Wong and Irrfan Kahn, he used to say, 'How long do you think you can control it? We won't always be the only ones who can make a dinosaur,'" he added.
"And this isn't something necessarily that was in the book but is a seed that I wanted to plant in this movie, is that might be able to grow in more of these movies if they decide to make more of them, is: What if this went open source?" Trevorrow stated, courtesy of Wired UK.
"It's almost like InGen is Mac, but what if PC gets their hands on it? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?" He added.
In addition, the original cast of "Jurassic World" will reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel with Bryce Dallas Howard (who plays as Claire Dearing) will be the main protagonist and Chris Pratt to take "second-in-command" as the rumors about Dr. Wu's plans of "weaponized dinosaurs" in the plot thickens, as stated by Vine Report.
Moreover, there are rumors spreading around that the upcoming "Jurassic World 2" film may also include its original cast members, Laura Dern (as Dr. Ellie Sattler) and Sam Neill ( as Dr. Alan Grant), after a tweet that said,
"If @starwars can include original cast in their new trilogy, so can @JurassicPark! RT if you agree! #JurassicWorld," courtesy of the film's Twitter account.
