Motorola Moto X Pure Edition Has Android 6.0 Marshmallow!; Update Instructions Provided!

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition has an updated Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with new features that will be available for consumers around the world.

On Oct. 5, the smartphone was first introduced into the global market for its new OS. After two months, the company rolled out an updated version of it in the U.S along with the unlocked 2nd Generation 2014 model, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

The phone was the first for the company to release its kernel sources information, which will be accessed via Github website to download either tar.gz or ZIP files. This will allow users to make minor modification in the software and its ROMs depending on their preference, according to TechGadgetCentral.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition includes battery friendly features and new app authorization for users to have more control over the phone. A "Doze" mode was added into the system to prolong its functionality and closes all unnecessary activities in the background to boost its power along with an "App Standby" option, according to Motorola.

Although the phone has been equipped with newer features, some consumers have detected few bugs within the system. Despite the reported problems, the company offered proper solutions on their help support site.

The update also includes, App permissions that asks authorization every time a feature will be used and its customizable. App links were also added, along with an Expandable Storage functionality, Now on Tap, Do not Disturb mode, Motorola Migrate and more.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition users should be able to receive a notification for the Android Marshmallow update. At least, 50 percent of the battery life and a Wi-Fi connection were required to install it.

Once the alert message is received, just select the "Yes, I'm in" option, then "Install now," then it will be immediately installed into the phone and reboots after its done.
