'Katamari' Game For Android Comeback Trailer Released!; Mobile Pac-Man Under Development?

The "Katamari" game on PlayStation 2 will make its return developed for Android platform along with its trailer, according to Engadget.

The game was created by Keita Takahashi and the person behind the "Touch My Katamari" version for PS Vita in 2012. Bandai Namco will feature a game that was reported to have a different from the original one and is called "Tap my Katamari."

The "Katamari" game on Android will be on 2D interface instead of 3D. It will function with a tap on the mobile's screen to move on to the next level. A lot of rolling action was also seen in the trailer and a  "Time Attack Challenge" that will allegedly offer several modes for the players, according to Android Community.

The comeback of the King of All Cosmos was first announced in Japan during the Jump Festa event. Aside from reviving the game, Bandai Namco has been recently rumored working on games like, Pac-Man for mobile platform together with developer, Hipster Whale, according to Venture Beat.

The classic "Katamari Damacy" was released in 2004 in North America. It was first introduced in Japan that featured a puzzle-action game developed from a school project of Namco Digital Hollywood Game Laboratory that was fulfilled with under $1 million budget.

Developers aimed to give an easy to understand, fun and novelty game for its players. It was about a prince's goal to reconstruct the destroyed moon, constellation and stars caused by his father. Due to it's popularity in North America and Japan, it garnered numerous awards and was called as a "sleeper hit," according to Wikipedia.

As of the moment, the company and developers hasn't released an official statement with regards to the "Katamari" game for android details or plot. The game was reported to be available on the first quarter of 2016.
