Taylor Swift’s 'Out of the Woods' Video Release Date On NYE; Song For Ex Harry Styles?

Taylor Swift will release "Out of the Woods" music video on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" TV special on Dec. 31.

The music will be the sixth to many songs the singer released from her "1989" album that featured hit tracks like "Blank Space," "Bad Blood," "Shake It Off," and "Wildest Dreams".

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Rockin' Eve's official Twitter account however, no other details were shared such as when it will be showed or if the 26-year-old award winning singer will be guesting, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Fans have been waiting for Taylor Swift's "Out of the Woods" video because it was allegedly a song inspired of her ex-boyfriend and One Direction member, Harry Styles.

The rumor started when fans spotted the "Wildest Dreams" singer wearing a paper airplane necklace that was known to be Harry Styles' favorite even before their relationship in 2012. She was often spotted wearing the item that their fans, has started to think that her boyfriend at that time gave it as a sign of his love.

The singer also made an announcement on Twitter and said, "I can't wait to show you the video for Out Of The Woods!," according to Hollywood Life. "It's premiering 12/31 on @NYRE with @RyanSeacrest.
#OOTWMusicVideo," she added.

Fans have been speculating that the chosen date and place has a deeper meaning than the yearly holiday. Before the couple broke up, they went to Times Square together to welcome the new year and was captured kissing in a video taken by a fan that was uploaded on YouTube.

The TV special will start at 8 in the evening ET that will air on ABC and will show Taylor Swift's "Out of the Woods" video. The event will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest  and Jenny McCarthy will keep viewers updated from the ground of Times Square, according to Billboard.
