Fans and smartphone consumers alike were astounded to hear that the latest BlackBerry Priv was getting good reviews as sales of the smartphone seem to have improved on its way to finally saving and redeeming the company, according to sources.

It was reported on Friday that the latest smartphone BlackBerry Priv handset had positive reviews as it sold out on Amazon at one point to be included in the 700,000 total units purchased in this year's third quarter, as stated by Tech Aeris.

The BlackBerry Priv received an astounding review as it garnered an 8/10 rating as one of the flagship-level Android devices to bring back a hardware keyboard as a feature to a smartphone, as rated by the Android Authority.

Although the BlackBerry Priv was also criticized as having its fair share of faults, cons and shortcomings, it nonetheless gained a favorable review as it was still able to receive a 77% favor in a poll that clearly stated that 3 out 4 people were willing to purchase this smartphone, as stated by GSM Arena.

Even though the poll conducted won't necessarily translate into actual revenue sales, it was predicted that the BlackBerry Priv's positive review may well indicate a good future for the company in terms of its hardware, according to the source.

Chief Executive John Chen stated that the Canadian OEM company's strategy to add value on top of the BlackBerry Priv looks promising as he announces that the company is within "shouting distance" of breaking even, within the next two quarters, as stated by CNEt.

"My first goal is to get us into a break-even position with the device business, because you really couldn't do anything strategically with a business that continues to lose money," the Chief Executive said, courtesy of Tech Aeris.

"We're in that ballpark now," he added.
