Ballad singer Kim Yeon Woo was forced to end his concert after three songs on Saturday after he reportedly struggled to hit the high notes.

During his solo concert in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, Kim apologized to his fans for cancelling the concert due to vocal problems, as reported by Soompi Sunday.

"There's nothing wrong with my vocal cords, but I simply can't hit the high notes. I don't think I'll be able to continue," he apologetically told his fans.

Reports have revealed that the singer was even crying while making the announcement before his fans.

Despite what happened, Kim reportedly went into the lobby of the concert to meet his fans for autographs to show his gratitude for their support.

Further reports have revealed that the 44-year-old singer is now in the hospital for treatment, as per Mystic Entertainment.

"Kim could not sing during rehearsal," the agency revealed, as noted by Korea Joongang Daily Tuesday. "So he went to an ear-nose-throat clinic near the concert venue. After treatment, he could not sing high notes at all."

The agency added, "We'll decide later whether he can do other concerts as scheduled or not."

The Ballad singer is slated to hold concerts in Suwon, Goyang and Gwangyu before this year ends.

Mystic Entertainment has refunded the concert tickets following the cancellation.

Kim is a vocal coach and a professor at Seoul Art College who is famous for his ballads and his capability to hit high notes. He debuted in 1995 after winning the 7th annual Yu Jae Ha Music Competition.

The balladeer has released a total of four studio albums. He is best-known for his singles "Going To Meet You Now," "Melt Away" and "Nostalgic Song Ariyo."

Some of his songs were used as official soundtracks of Korean drama series such as "Boys Before Flowers," "Trace Of Love," "Blue Fish" and many more.
