Samsung fans were delighted to hear that the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone has officially announced a release date next year around March, and that it will feature a new touch-sensitive screen, as stated by sources.

Samsung plans to include some major features to the company's flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S7, on its release, which may be a carbon copy of the best new features of the iPhone 6, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

As such, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature a pressure-sensitive screen upon its release date, similar to Apple's 3d Touch feature on its iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, as stated by Fortune.

With the help of a touch-sensitive screen, the flagship smartphone device can differentiate between a tap or a press on its screen and execute specific tasks based on each input method, according to the source.

Moreover, the announcement on the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date also stated that it will unveil the new high-speed charging port, which uses a USB Type-C port that allows a full day's charge in just less than thirty minutes or faster, that is coming to its flagship smartphones, as stated by the Wall Street Journal.

The company was also reported to have considered adding a retina scanner to some version of its devices, but the feature may be changed as there are only three months left before the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be unveiled on its release date, according to the source.

The Samsung Galaxy S7's exact release date was announced to be on the day before the Mobile World Congress, which will be held on February 21, 2016, in Barcelona with sales starting in mid-March, as stated by Computer World.

Moreover, additional specifications were mentioned in the report that also included Samsung bringing back the expandable storage feature on the standard Samsung Galaxy S7, while the S7 Edge with the curved display may be expected to lack such feature, according to Fortune.
