Iconic rockers "AC/DC" have announced their 2016 tour dates in the United States, kicking off in Tacoma, Wash. on Feb. 2 and ends at the Madison Square Garden on April 4 in New York City, according to Blabbermouth.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale by Friday, Dec. 18.

Singer Brian Johnson was asked in an interview how the band puts a set together for a tour, when there is so much great material to choose from.

"The problem with the songs is, none of them sound like from any era," said the band's frontman, Brian Johnson to VH1. "They all sound like they could have been done on this album. "Shot Down In Flames," let's just take that. "Hell or High Water," "Hell Ain't a Bad Place To Be" could have been on this album."

"AC/DC" formed in 1973 and the band's "high voltage" rock n' roll music has consistently sold-out concert tours. The band has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, selling 70 million in the United States alone, revealed MTV.

"And whenever we play live, we got to keep the energy level up, you know?" added guitarist Angus Young. "We've been lucky through our career. There's a lot of strong songs that connect with different eras so we've got a big catalogue of tracks. It does become a little bit hard. We try to cover all territories."

The band's latest album is "Rock Or Bust," and has debuted at number three on the Billboard album chart in December, last year.

The band's sixteenth studio album has sold more than 550,000 copies and it is their first album without founding guitarist Malcom Young, who is currently suffering from dementia: He has been replaced by his nephew Stevie Young.

Meanwhile, "AC/DC's" drummer Phil Rudd, who joined the group in 1975, was arrested at his home in Tauranga, New Zealand in Nov. 2014.

He has been dealing with a range of charges in New Zealand's court system, from cannabis and methamphetamine drug possession to threatening to kill. Rudd was sentenced to eight months of home detention in July, revealed Rolling Stone.

Rudd told New Zealand reporters in August that he wanted to get his job back and "get back on the road and make a lot of money."
