Fans of the widely acclaimed franchise, "Transformers" were delighted to find out that the new "Transformers 5" movie's plot and some of its cast members have been confirmed and that it would likewise unveil new Autobots and Decepticons, as told by sources.

News recently confirmed that the highly anticipated "Transformers 5", which is filmed and directed by Michael Bay ("Bad Boys" and the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" series), would see the 44-year old actor, Mark Wahlberg, returning in the movie's cast as Cade Yeager, as reported by the Movie News Guide.

Moreover, "Transformers 5" would also be bringing back actress, Megan Fox, to the franchise's cast, who recently sorted out her dispute with the director; and speculations that Bruce Willis and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson would also join the troupe, according to the source.

In addition, the fans of the movie franchise could expect that the upcoming sequel, "Transformers 5" would serve its viewers two separate plots, according to IGN.

The first part of the movie would be all about Cade Yeager, who was last seen in "Transformers: Age of Extinction", as well as a focus on Earth's Autobots, while the second part would narrate Optimus Prime's journey through outer space with the goal of finding his creators, the Quintessons, as stated by the Movie News Guide.

Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind" and "Angels & Demons"), who leads the writers room for "Transformer 5" that included Robert Kirkman ("The Walking Dead"), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway ("Iron Man"), Steven DeKnight ("Daredevil"), Jeff Pinker ("Fringe"), and Ken Nolan ("Black hawk Down"), was interviewed by Max Nicholson of IGN to discuss about the two separate plots.

When asked about how interconnected the "Transformer 5" plot and the plot for the fourth installment were, Akiva Goldsman said that they hope that the two plots are both well-interconnected, yet, are able to standalone by themselves, according to the source.

"I think architecturally, the best - I think I believe this - the best serialized storytelling has integrity from start to finish of the episode, whether it be TV or a movie or a comic book or novel series or short story series," the writer said, courtesy of the source.

"You want to be able to satisfy both appetites - which I think is very different from procedural or episodic," he added about the "Transformer 5" plot. "You want to feed the instinct for the short-term gratification and the long-term gratification. So we're trying both." he added.

The movie, "Transformers 5", would also unveil new Autobots and Decepticon characters, as stated by the Movie News Guide.

The Autobots will expand its roster by adding Ultra Magnus, Override, and Red Alert, while the Decepticons will become stronger as well with the inclusion of Scourge, Blitzwing, and Cyclonus, as listed by IB Times.
