Fans of the 2015 NBA Championship team Golden State Warriors are all hoping for the winning streak to last longer and eventually claim the title held by the LA Lakers of 1971-1972, despite the injury sustained by Klay Thompson with his sprained ankle, according to sources.

The All-Star shooting guard, Klay Thompson, of the Golden State Warriors will be a game-winning decision for their match against the Boston Celtics this Friday night, due to a recent sprained ankle, as stated by ESPN Go.

Thompson, who just garnered his season-high with 39 points, was seen limping and walking under his own strength after the game against the Indiana Pacers that ended with a 131-123 win last Tuesday and placing them for their 23rd winning streak, according to the source.

His status for the upcoming game against the Boston Celtics this Friday is still up in the air as he to reporters that he wants to play but the final decision might not be his to make, courtesy of NESN.

"It's not feeling great, but it's not feeling bad," Thomspon said, courtesy of ESPN Go. "It's like somewhere in between. It's like 60 percent - nah, 70."

"He's obviously out there getting some shots up, shooting around, but it'll likely be a game-time decision," Golden State Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton said, courtesy of Fox Sports.

"If there's any concern at all that his ankle's hurt, then we're not going to play him," he added.

With the Larry O'Brien trophy firmly secured in their clutches at the beginning of the season, the Warriors have continued to set and establish a new league record for best start (previously it was 15-0; 23-0 now), vying to become the league's history as the first NBA team to win all seven games on a road trip (currently at 5-0 with games at Boston this Friday and at Milwaukee this coming Saturday), and have the latest top mark for road wins to start a season (13-0), as reported by USA Today.
