The GoPro Hero4 session price is said to  cost half of its original price of $400, according to Tech Times.

It is set at $199 and is capable to fit into narrower locations that will give users the option on where to place it compared to other GoPro cameras.

GoPro's Founder and CEO, Nick Woodman said that the camera is "the perfect way to capture rough-and-tumble family activities this holiday season," according to PC Magazine. "From snowball fights to snowboarding, the footage will look so immersive you'll feel like you're reliving the experience," Woodman added.

GoPro Hero4 session is a light and durable camera that has eight megapixels and capable of recording a video with a resolution of 1080p60. It was designed to be water and dust proof along with a one-button tap option to control battery consumption that lasts up to two hours.

The camera is available in black and silver variety that can record videos in a maximum of 33 feet level underwater and doesn't require more housing. GoPro Hero4 session's functionality was tagged as the highest preferred user-friendly device by consumers among from its brethren.

Its other specifications include a microSD slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, microUSB port, dual-microphone feature that can be switched from one to another simultaneously built for noisy or windy environment.

The GoPro Hero4 session price discount was announced on Friday which was the second price drop for the device. The reason for the action claims that the camera's first value of $399 is similar to the new Hero4 Silver, according to Fortune.

The first price cut-off for the GoPro Hero4 session happened in September, resulted to a $400 million revenue for the company's third quarter period. The effort failed to meet their expected amount of $430 to $445 million and Woodman claims the reason to a fewer sales than expected.
